If you connect your social accounts (such as Facebook or Google Business Profile) to Business App first, it will automatically connect the account(s) to other areas on the platform! This includes products like Social Marketing, Reputation Management, or Local SEO.

When you have your social accounts connected and active products, you will see valuable stats throughout the product sections of the Executive Report. If you have your social accounts connected to Business App but there are no active products for the business, you will only see data in the Marketing data and reports.:

How do I connect my social media business accounts to the Social Marketing platform?

Connecting Your Social Media Accounts in Social Marketing

To begin posting to your social media accounts through Social Marketing, you need to connect them first. For digital agencies, it is advisable to connect accounts while in an incognito or private browser session. This helps prevent social networks from automatically connecting to any active accounts you might be logged into.

Steps to Connect Your Accounts:

  • Access the Connect Settings:
    • Navigate to Social Marketing and select Settings > Connect Accounts.
  • Adding Social Accounts:
    • From the Connect Accounts page, click the “+” next to each social network you wish to connect.

Facebook:

  • Click the “+” icon to be redirected to Facebook’s login screen. Enter your Facebook admin credentials.
  • Ensure you’re logged in with the correct account that has Admin permissions. Use incognito mode to avoid login errors.
  • Make sure the account displayed next to “Continue” has Admin rights and click ‘Reconnect.’
  • When prompted, select ‘All Pages’ instead of just one to ensure proper API connection.
  • Click ‘Next’ and then ‘Save’ to complete the setup.

Google Business Profile:

  • Click ADD and sign in with your Google account. Allow the required permissions, then return to Social Marketing, choose the appropriate location, and click ADD to connect.

Instagram:

  • Ensure Instagram accounts are linked to a corresponding Facebook page. Accounts must be set to Business or Professional.
  • Select ADD, input your Facebook credentials, choose the relevant Facebook page, and click Add to connect your Instagram.

X:

  • Click the ADD button to access the X login page, authorize our app, and your X account will be linked.

LinkedIn:

  • Both Personal and Business LinkedIn pages can be connected, though Business pages are recommended.
  • Select ADD, enter your LinkedIn credentials, authorize access, and choose the pages you want to link. Click ADD to finalize the connection.

Account Limits:

Social Marketing allows multiple connections for most networks, except Instagram and Google Business Profile. Here are the account limits per network:

  • Facebook: 5 accounts
  • X: 4 accounts
  • LinkedIn: 4 accounts
  • Instagram: 1 account
  • Google Business Profile: 1 account
  • TikTok: 5 accounts

From Social Marketing, select Settings > Connect Accounts

To start connecting your Facebook account, navigate to Social Marketing, then go to Settings, and select Connect Accounts. From this section, you can add your Facebook account by selecting the “+” sign next to Facebook.

How do I connect my Facebook account to Social Marketing?

Follow these steps to connect your Facebook account:

  1. Click on the “+” next to Facebook. This will redirect you to the Facebook Login screen. Enter your Facebook admin login credentials. If you are automatically logged in, ensure you are using the correct account with Admin privileges. To avoid errors, consider using an incognito window so you will be prompted to enter your credentials.
  2. It will take you to a page where you should ensure that you select ‘All Pages,’ as this is required for the API to connect successfully. Even if you only want to connect one page, selecting ‘All Pages’ is necessary. If the desired page does not appear, confirm that you have logged in with the account that holds Admin permissions for that page. Click Next.
  3. Finally, click Save to complete the connection process.

If you encounter issues, make sure to check your login account and ensure you have the necessary page permissons.

How do I connect my Google Business Profile to Social Marketing?

From Host,Support Business App center, open Social Marketing app

From Social Marketing, select Settings > Connect Accounts

To start connecting your Google Business Profile, navigate to Social Marketing, then go to Settings, and select Connect Accounts. From this section, you can add your Google Business Profile by selecting the “+” sign next to Google.

Follow these steps to connect your Google Business Profile:

  1. Select ADD, and you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account.
  2. Once signed in, you will be asked to grant our application permission to access your account. Select ALLOW to continue.
  3. This will redirect you back to Social Marketing, where you can choose the relevant location and select ADD to connect your Google Business Profile account.

If you encounter any issues, ensure that you are signed in to the correct Google account and that you have granted the necessary permissions.

Social Marketing Express limits the number of bulk posts to 20 at a time. Social Marketing Pro users can, however, schedule an unlimited number of posts at once.

So, if you need advanced features and like to schedule more post, you may want to consider upgrading to the Pro version of Social Marketing.

Social Marketing can help you post to all of your most important social media accounts. These do, however, have specific requirements to post.

Image Requirements: Social Marketing supports the following image types: PNG, JPEG, or GIF.

Recommended size: If posting to multiple social networks, we recommend square images (1:1)

  • Recommended Dimensions:

Yes, for some channels. If you delete a post from Social Marketing, in most instances, it will be deleted from the social platform as well:

  • Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Google Business Profile – If you delete it in the Social Marketing App, the post(s) will be deleted on the source pages as well.
  • Instagram – You are unable to delete an Instagram post from Social Marketing and will need to go to Instagram directly to remove the post. 
Do I need to link my Instagram account to a Facebook page?

To connect an Instagram account in Social Marketing, you must first connect the account to a Facebook page.

Users can connect an Instagram account to a Facebook page using either Facebook’s Page interface or its Business Manager interface.

Can I post multiple images to Instagram through Social Marketing?
Yes! Using the ‘carousel’ feature on Instagram, you can post up to 10 images or a mix of videos and images to Instagram through Social Marketing.
How can I use Instagram Reels in Social Marketing to reach more people?

Leveraging Instagram Reels for Brand Awareness in Social Marketing

Instagram Reels are an excellent tool for brand awareness, allowing your content to reach new audiences through the “Explore” and “Reels” tabs. Here’s how to get started using Reels in Social Marketing:

Step 1: Access Social Marketing

  • Navigate to Social Marketing: You can access it either through Partner Center > Accounts > Accounts or as a user logged in to Business App > Social Marketing.

Step 2: Create Your Reel Post

Can I remove a connected individual LinkedIn account in Social Marketing without removing the business page?

When you remove the personal LinkedIn account through which the business page was connected, the LinkedIn business page will automatically be removed as well.

To know which is the business page under Social Marketing > Settings > Connect Accounts > LinkedIn, it will show the word “Page,” and when you click on it, the URL will have the word “company” in it. The personal or individual account will show the word “Account” and its URL does not have the word “company” in it.

Meanwhile, you are able to remove the business page in Social Marketing, and it will not affect the connected personal account.
