Host.Support all-in-one platform empowers small business owners with one place to view and manage your local business listings, online brand reputation, customer reviews, social media, SEO, content, digital marketing, emails, analytics, reports, tasks and integrations all within your Business App Center, customized for the applications and services you utilize. At Host.Support, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Notice describes how we use the information we collect or that you provide to us through all Host.Support sites and subdomains and and other electronic communications.

About Our Users

Business Account Users on Host.Support’s platform use our digital marketing technologies, apps and services to manage their local business online presence and run their businesses. If you are using Host.Support’s Platform and Services to facilitate and power your business, you agree and understand that we collect and use your personal information to provide you with the use of our platform and its services, and generally to help you better manage your business and your relationship with your customers. Additionally, please review this privacy policy, Terms of Use and all our policies that applies to everyone whose information we process.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It:

Information You Provide Directly to Us

We collect personal information when you sign up for the Host.Support Platform, or when you otherwise provide us information. We may also use third party service providers to help us review accounts for fraud or other concerns. In general, we need this information for you to be able to use our platform. The information you provide to us may include:

What we collect:

  • Information you provide us about you and your business, like your name, the name of your staff or other individuals associated with your business, company name, address, email address, and phone number.
  • Payment information you provide us, such as your credit or debit card information or your bank account number.
  • Information about how you access Host.Support’s websites, your account, and our platform, including information about the device and browser you use, your network connection, your IP address, and details about how you browse our websites and platform. We collect some of this information by using “cookies” or other similar technologies directly from your device.
  • We only share information to fullfill the functionality of our Host.Support apps and services you integrate, utilize or purchase in your Business App Center at host.support, apps.host.support and all host.supprt platform domains.

How we use this information:

  • To provide you with the use of our platform and other related services (e.g., to confirm your identity, to contact you about issues with the platform, to invoice you)
  • To advertise and market products or features to you
  • To comply with legal requirements
  • To prevent fraudulent use of our services
  • To provide you use of, and to improve, our platform and other related services (e.g., identifying ways to make our platform easier to use or navigate)
  • To personalize the platform for you (e.g., by showing you apps in our app store that we believe may be useful to you)
  • To advertise and market products or features to you
  • To prevent fraudulent use of our services
  • If we need to verify your identity (e.g., to protect you against identity theft or fraud)
  • To verify that we are speaking with you if you contact us
  • To help us determine or verify account ownership
  • To comply with legal requirements

When you interact with Host.Support using an external social network (for example, your Facebook account), we may collect your name and other details from your social network profile and account. Please note that when interacting with Host.Support from a third-party social network, in addition to our Seller Membership Terms and Privacy Notice, you are bound by the terms and privacy policies of those websites.

We also work with companies that provide us with information about merchants or prospective merchants (for example, to protect against fraud or if we’re sponsoring an event).

How we share your information with others

We work with a variety of api integrations to help us provide you with a range of services to help you support your business. We sometimes share your personal information with these companies to help us provide you with Host.Support Services.

We also share your personal information with others:

  • To prevent or investigate suspected fraud, threats to physical safety, illegal activity, or violations of a contract and policies.
  • To help us conduct marketing and advertising
  • To comply with legal requirements, or to respond to court orders, or other similar government demands.
  • If we merge with or are acquired by another company

Additionally, active users on the Host.Support platform uses non-Host.Support services to support their business–for example, 3rd party integrations, sales channels, payment gateways, or shipping providers. Host.Support doesn’t control how these services use your personal information, and you should review any other service you use to make sure it meets your privacy expectations.

Information We Collect by Automated Means

When you use the Host.Support Site, we and third parties may collect certain information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies, Web server logs, Web beacons, JavaScript, and components of our apps. We may tie this information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or that you provide to us.

Cookies

Cookies are files that websites send to your computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings on your device. Without cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of the Host.Support Site.

The Host.Support Site may use HTTP cookies, HTML5 cookies, Flash cookies, and other types of local storage (such as browser-based or plugin-based local storage). Web server logs and Web Beacons

Web server logs may collect information about your device, operating system, browser, domain, and other system settings, such as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located; the address of the Web page that referred you to the Host.Support Site; the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet; and other information about your interaction with the Host.Support, such as which pages you visit. To control which Web servers collect information by automated means, we may place small electronic tags called Web beacons on our Web pages and in our emails, which are files that link Web pages to particular Web servers and their cookies. Again, without web server logs and web beacons, you may not be able to use all of the features of the Host.Support Site.

We or third parties also may send instructions to your device using JavaScript or other computer languages to store or gather the sorts of information described above and other details about your interactions with the Host.Support Site.

How We Use Your Information

When you login to your Host.Support Platform, depending on what apps you have activated, we may use the information you provide directly to us and information we collect about you for various purposes, including to:

  • Process, evaluate, and respond to your requests, inquiries, and applications;
  • Sync Your Business Listings;
  • Send you information about Host.Support’s products and services or those of our retail and marketing partners;
  • Monitor, integrate & provide means to respond to your online reviews from 3rd party providers;
  • Monitor, integrate & provide means to post or respond to your 3rd party social media providers;
  • Manage apps and services you hired us to perform.
  • Operate, evaluate, and improve our business, products and services (including to analyze, customize and develop new products and services; perform market research, data analytics, and data enhancement; measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing; administer the Host.Support site; and perform accounting, auditing, billing, reconciliation, and collection activities);
  • Verify your identity and protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims, and other liabilities;
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards and enforce our rights under our Seller Membership Terms and other policies; and
  • Notify you about changes to the Host.Support Site, this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use and other policies.

We use third-party Web analytics services, such as those of Google Analytics and Facebook, to help us analyze how users use the Host.Support Site. These service providers use cookies and other automated technologies to collect information about you when you visit the Host.Support Site.

Your rights over your information

Our Host.Support eCommerce Platform database stores your personal information while you use Host.Support’s Services. If you close your store, you stop paying your membership fees, or we terminate your account, we may retain store information for up to one year before we begin the personal information purge process.

However, if you contact us to request deletion of your store’s information, we will begin the personal information purge process after 90 days, except if we are legally mandated or required to retain specific information. If you have questions about this process, please contact our Seller Support team.

Additional Disclosures for California Residents

Notice of Collection

In addition to the Rights & Choices described above, the CCPA requires disclosure of the categories of personal information collected over the past 12 months. While this information is provided in greater detail in the “Information Collected or Received Section above, the categories of personal information that we have collected – as described by the CCPA – are:

  • Identifiers, including name, email address, shop name, IP address, and an ID or number assigned to your account.
  • Other individual records such as phone number, billing address, or credit or debit card information. This category includes personal information protected under pre-existing California law (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.80(e)), and overlaps with other categories listed here.
  • Demographics, such as your age or gender, or, where you have provided such information to Host.Support voluntarily, demographic information about your race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity, provided in relation to specific marketing and advocacy projects and campaigns. This category includes data that may qualify as protected classifications under other California or federal laws.
  • Commercial information, including purchases and engagement with the Services.
  • Internet activity, including your interactions with our Services and what led you to our Services.
  • Sensory visual data, such as pictures posted on our Service.
  • Geolocation data provided through location enabled services such as WiFi and GPS.
  • Inferences, including information about your interests, preferences and favorites.

Updates to Our Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice periodically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws as we grow. To notify you of any changes that we make, we will post the updated version on Host.Support and in your Seller dashboards on Host.Support and indicate at the top of the Privacy Notice when it was last updated. We encourage you to check back regularly and review any updates.
